The Bayard Rustin Educational Complex, also known as the Humanities Educational Complex, is a "vertical campus" of the New York City Department of Education which contains a number of small public schools. Most of them are high schools — grades 9 through 12 – along with one combined middle and high school – grades 6 through 12.

[14] In 2013, HSMSE was ranked among the nation's top high schools by the U.S. News & World Report, [15] and in 2017, the U.S. News & World Report ranked HSMSE as third in New York State and 26th nationally. There is also a general fee of $800 for Grade 9 students and $650 for Grades 10–12, which covers a school-leased iPad, a graphic calculator (grade 9), and other necessities.
Last year, close to 26,000 students took the exam with just over 4,000 offered a seat. Of that, 4.5% of offers went to Black students and 7.6% to Latino students, according to city data.
The Clinton School is a New York City public middle and high school located in the Union Square section of Manhattan, New York.
