Jacobs Medical Center is a teaching hospital on the University of California, San Diego campus in the La Jolla neighborhood of San Diego.Along with the UC San Diego Medical Center, Hillcrest, it serves as a flagship hospital of UC San Diego Health and the primary teaching hospital for the UC San Diego School of Medicine.

UC San Diego Health La Jolla station is a San Diego Trolley station located on the UC San Diego East Campus, which includes the UC San Diego Health La Jolla campus of hospitals and medical facilities and the Preuss School. The station is elevated just south of Voigt Drive at Campus Point Drive.
The street-level station has side platforms. The station opened in 2005 [1] under the Alvarado Medical Center station name when the medical center was named Alvarado Hospital. The station was renamed to Alvarado station in 2023 after Alvarado Hospital was renamed UC San Diego Health East Campus Medical Center. [2]

The San Rafael Fire Department and Marinwood Fire Department have a shared services agreement with SRFD providing Marinwood Chief Officer's services. The department is updating or reconstructing many of its stations. In 2016, plans were released for brand new fire stations 51, 52,a nd 57. Stations 54 and 55 would be dramatically remodeled.
