He was selected by the Steelers in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL draft. He was also a member of the Buffalo Bills.
He was voted 63rd best player of the 2011 season by NFL players. On December 15, 2013, the Pittsburgh Steelers placed Lamar Woodley on the season ending IR due to a calf injury.
