Wikipedia's favicon, shown in Firefox. A favicon (/ ˈ f æ v. ɪ ˌ k ɒ n /; short for favorite icon), also known as a shortcut icon, website icon, tab icon, URL icon, or bookmark icon, is a file containing one or more small icons [1] associated with a particular website or web page.
Indirect: Right click the application that has the icon and choose Show Package Contents, navigate to the resources folder or wherever the file is and open it. In Preview choose the largest/best image and choose File→Save As… Save the file as PNG with alpha. Upload the icon, tagged as {{non-free computer icon}} or {}.
Click the Attach icon. - Your computer's file manager will open. Find and select the file or image you'd like to attach. Click Open. The file or image will be attached below the body of the email.
