American rock band Wheatus covered "A Little Respect" for their self-titled debut album. Released on 2 July 2001, it peaked at number three in the United Kingdom (besting the peak of Erasure's original) while reaching number five in Ireland and number 19 in Austria.
Wheatus is an American rock band from Northport, New York, formed in 1995. They are known principally for their 2000 single, " Teenage Dirtbag ". They also experienced success with their 2001 cover version of Erasure 's " A Little Respect ", and their self-titled album was certified platinum in the United Kingdom.
A Little Respect" was released as a single on July 2.
