East Point is a suburban city located southwest of Atlanta in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2020 census , the city had a population of 38,358. The city name is derived from being at the opposite end of the former Atlanta and West Point Railroad from West Point .
East Point is a subway station in East Point, Georgia, serving the Red and Gold lines of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system. It has an island platform between two tracks. It was opened on August 16, 1986. It mainly serves East Point, Camp Creek, and unincorporated South Fulton and College Park.

Colonial Hills is a neighborhood in the northernmost section of East Point, Georgia.It rests alongside of Langford Parkway (previously known as Lakewood Freeway.)Just to the north of Colonial Hills is Fort McPherson-(known as Fort Mac), which has been closed due to military downsizing.
Tri-Cities High School is a public high school in East Point, Georgia, United States.It is a part of the Fulton County School System.The school opened in 1988 under the leadership of principal Dr. Herschel Robinson.
