Danny Valencia played third base at UNCG and was the 2004 SoCon Freshman of the Year, and was voted second-team All-Conference. [2] On April 18, 2006, UNCG earned its first win over a top-ranked team in any sport during the university's Division I era. The baseball team defeated top-ranked North Carolina, 7–6, in front of a crowd of 1,835.
The tournament was held at campus sites, with the higher seed hosting. The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The UNCG Soccer Stadium is a 3,540-capacity soccer-specific stadium located on the campus of University of North Carolina (UNCG) in Greensboro, North Carolina. The stadium was opened for the practise of soccer in 1991 and is home to the UNC Greensboro Spartans men's and women's soccer teams.
