Judy Garland (born Frances Ethel Gumm; June 10, 1922 – June 22, 1969) was an American actress, singer, and vaudevillian.She attained international stardom and critical acclaim as an actress in both musical and dramatic roles, as a recording artist, and on the concert stage.
Originally titled The Lonely Stage, the film was renamed so that audiences would know that Garland sings in it; she had not sung in a film since A Star Is Born in 1954. Although not a huge box-office success on release, the film won Garland much praise for her performance. [1] This was Garland's final film before her death in 1969.
