The Cherry Orchard (Russian: Вишнёвый сад, romanized: Vishnyovyi sad) is the last play by Russian playwright Anton Chekhov.Written in 1903, it was first published by Znaniye (Book Two, 1904), [1] and came out as a separate edition later that year in Saint Petersburg, via A.F. Marks Publishers. [2]
In 2018, the building's 17th-floor penthouse apartment was described as the "most expensive flat in Croydon". [1] The building was designed to have 20 floors of apartments and a roof height of 61 metres (200 ft). [4] The tower is elliptical in plan comprising two equal halves which appear to "slide" past one another. [5]
The building was completed in 2009, [3] and has 26 floors of apartments up to floor 25, hence the name Altitude 25, a roof height of 82.00 and a structural height of 94 m (307 ft). It is part of the Croydon Vision 2020 regeneration project for a new generation of buildings in the town.

The story focuses on individuals from a drama club that are putting on Anton Chekhov's 1904 play The Cherry Orchard.
