On his first day of high school, sumo practitioner Hinomaru Ushio joins Odachi High's sumo club. Despite his short stature (professional sumo has a height requirement of 167 centimeters (5.5 feet)), Hinomaru aims to become the best in high school to force the professional sumo association to let him compete, and then reach the sport's highest rank of yokozuna.
Shinya is caught in an arm hold but after remembering advice Hinomaru gave him he almost succeeds in pushing Mizuki out of the ring, but is still defeated. Mizuki announces he is looking forward to wrestling Hinomaru one day. Elsewhere Hinomaru arrives at Shibakiyama Stable, a dojo famous for its professional Sumo's and intense training methods.
The show stars Wataru Ichinose in the role of Kiyoshi Oze, an outspoken and violent young man who joins the world of professional sumo under the shikona, or ring name, Enno for the sake of money.
