TNT (formerly known as Piltel, Mobiline, Phone Pal, and still unofficially known as Talk 'N Text) is a cellular service of Smart Communications in the Philippines. [1] By April 2000, Piltel launched it's GSM brand, Talk 'N Text. Piltel also reported 16,590,737 subscribers to its GSM brand, Talk 'N Text, before its transfer to Smart.
Smart Communications Inc., commonly referred to as Smart, is a wholly owned wireless communications and digital services subsidiary of PLDT Inc., [1] a telecommunications and digital services provider based in the Philippines. [2]
This was the first time that Talk 'N Text and Powerade faced each other in the finals, since the 2003 PBA All-Filipino Cup, which Talk 'N Text won the series in five games. Talk 'N Text won the championship series, 4–1 becoming the first team in league history to win back-to-back All-Filipino crown after 27 years, since 1985. [9] [10]
Moving forward, on April 1, 2000, Piltel signed a facilities-sharing agreement with competitor Smart Communications to be able to provide wireless services using Smart's GSM network. [2] By the same day, Piltel launched its GSM brand, Talk 'N Text. In March 2004, Smart Communications acquired 45.3% stake in Piltel from its parent PLDT. [3]
July 9: Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters head coach Norman Black was moved to the Meralco Bolts, replacing Ryan Gregorio as head coach. Replacing Black in Talk 'N Text is assistant coach Jong Uichico. [1] August 24: The 2014 PBA draft took place in Midtown Atrium, Robinson Place Manila.

In 2005, the brand was relaunched as TM "Ang Bagong Touch Mobile" (English: The new Touch Mobile), and then as TM "Pinalakas na Touch Mobile" (English: The stronger Touch Mobile) while keeping the slogan "Power to the People!", reaching even subscribers of low income and rural communities.
In 2008, Oreta joined the Smart-Pampanga Buddies of the semi-professional Liga Pilipinas and stayed there until 2009 when the team folded. In 2010, Oreta finally got his first taste of action in the PBA after the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters signed him from free agency. He won 4 PBA titles with the team.
