The dock will have dimensions 180 m (590 ft) by 44 m (144 ft) by 19.5 m (64 ft) in length, breadth and height, respectively and will be able to handle eight 12,800 tonne-class ships simultaneously. INS Mahendragiri is a Nilgiri-class (Project-17 Alpha) frigate of the Indian Navy. [13] It was built at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) in Mumbai and was formally launched by Sudesh Dhankhar, wife of Vice-President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar on 1 September 2023.
