  2. Sperry Topsiders & molded non-skid deck = slippery

    forums.sailinganarchy.com/threads/sperry-topsiders-molded-non-skid-deck...

I just got a pair of LL Bean's "Casco Bay Boat Mocs." They look just like old school Topsiders and cost about the same. They are a bit more comfortable, AND they come with the LL Bean guarantee: "If something’s not working or fitting or standing up to its task or lasting as long as you think it...

  3. Sperry Sucks--Selling short lived shitty boat shoes-BEWARE

    forums.sailinganarchy.com/threads/sperry-sucks-selling-short-lived-shitty-boat...

Sep 11, 2012. #2. I have worn Sperrys for a couple of decades. (past tense is operative) So I bought a pair of "Tech" lace up shoes some time ago. Within a season the bottoms completely dried up, got hard and slippery. I only wear them on the dock or boat (I take them off to go to the car) and I rinse them out w/fresh water after each use.

Why not get a shirt you can actually sail in? The DRYSHIRT isn't cheap so the "cost is a factor" issue will certainly rear it's head in this case.

  6. Sailing shoes that don't suck? | Sailing Anarchy Forums

    forums.sailinganarchy.com/threads/sailing-shoes-that-dont-suck.235817

6,249. Chesapeake Bay/Vail. Apr 1, 2022. #7. The Sperry Harbormaster is actually a pretty not bad shoe. They're comfortable for my foot, light, dry quickly. I bought 2 "extra" pairs before my first pair wore out... only complain with them, is that the sole tends to wear quicly when worn off the boat..

Thanks Catherine, this is an awesome film !! Striking how much more advanced sailing and crewing looks compared to '65 and '67 videos ! In his book, Heath said that prior to his S2H win in '69 he introduced such previously unheard of things as weekly crew meetings and regular practice sessions. Catherine Carter.

  10. best offshore boot?? - Sailing Anarchy Forums

    forums.sailinganarchy.com/threads/best-offshore-boot.25675

Nov 10, 2005. #15. Gotta go Musto with this one - 12 of us doing a 600 mile offshore, the only guys with dry feet at the end were me with Musto HPX boots and the foredeck with Shamu's (Extreme rubber Volvo style boot - doesn't leak but hot and sweaty). Everyone else had either H-L's or Dubbye's.

  11. What companies sponsor sailing in the USA?

    forums.sailinganarchy.com/threads/what-companies-sponsor-sailing-in-the-usa.119536

Left Hook said: The first companies that come to mind are Heinekin, BMW, Nautica, Bacardi and Sperry. Obviously there are many many more. I don't count The Heinekin Regatta on St Maarten, since that's not a US protectorate.
