Jaws is an amusement ride attraction based on the Jaws film series and is located at Universal Studios Japan.It originally opened at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando in 1990, and another installation later opened at Universal Studios Japan in 2001.
Jaws experienced massive mechanical difficulties following the opening of the park, which resulted in a large re-construction of the attraction's original ride system. Jaws was permanently removed on January 2, 2012, along with the rest of the Amity Island themed area to make way for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley.
