Eric Sutherland Lomax (30 May 1919 – 8 October 2012) [1] was a British Army officer who was sent to a Japanese prisoner-of-war camp in 1942. He is most notable for his book, The Railway Man , about his experiences before, during, and after World War II, which won the 1996 NCR Book Award and the PEN/Ackerley Prize .

Lomax joined Local 12 as a reporter in 1983 and became a morning show anchor in 1990. He co-anchored "Good Morning Cincinnati" for 32 years, and retired from the station after 39 years in 2022.
