The Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF), natively known as Institut Latihan Angkatan Tentera Diraja Brunei (IL ABDB) [5] is a military training establishment of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), primarily for enlisted male and female recruit training, [6] [7] along with technical and junior leadership courses for non-commissioned officers (NCOs).
It was formally officiated by His Excellency Sir Donald Macgillivray KCMG, MBE, Pengakap Agung Persekutuan Tanah Melayu or Federated Malay States Chief Scout Commissioner on January 5, 1957 to commemorate the 100th birth year of Lord Baden-Powell (February 22, 1857) and also 50th anniversary of world Scouting (1907 - 1957).
The organisation was established on 8 March 1977 at Police Training Centre (Pusat Latihan Polis), Jalan Aman, with 90 student members and four students from Sekolah Menengah Jamalul Alam, Sekolah Tinggi Pengiran Raja Isteri and Maktab SOAS. It was also known during that time as "Pasokan Kedet Polis Di-raja Brunei"
