Dang Wangi LRT station is an underground metro station, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, part of the Kelana Jaya line (formerly known as PUTRA). The station was opened on 1 June 1999, as part of the line's second and latest extension, which includes the addition of 12 stations (not including Sri Rampai station), and an underground line that the Dang Wangi station is connected to.
The stations are given in a north–south direction, consists primarily of elevated stops and a handful of underground and at-grade stations. Of the 37 stations, 31 are elevated, Sri Rampai lies at ground level, and five stops (Masjid Jamek, Dang Wangi, Kampung Baru, KLCC, and Ampang Park) are underground.
Dang Wangi is an area in the city centre of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, situated north of Dataran Merdeka, bordering Bukit Nanas and Medan Tuanku and located between the Gombak and Klang Rivers. The name is derived from Hang Jebat 's wife. [ 1 ]

The station is linked to the AG5 SP5 Sultan Ismail LRT station, 580 metres away, by a pedestrian bridge. KJ12 Dang Wangi station is also a 520-meter walk away, via Jalan Raja Abdullah. The station is also linked with the Quill City Mall via entrance E. There is no bus service provided to the station.

The Bukit Nanas station is located 300m from the Kelana Jaya line's Dang Wangi station via foot along Ampang Road; both stations are described by local rapid transit maps as connecting stations between both train services. The connecting stations are not the interchange station or out of station interchange station.
