HIST 401 CSULB is a History/Social Studies teacher preparation course that focuses on World History (Ancient through the Contemporary Era) and US History (1492-present). The intent of the course is to prepare students to teach in CA grades 6-12.
This class reviews the content and historiography of World and US History, relating these areas of knowledge to history pedagogy and cognition. Students examine the state standards for U.S., and World History and learn how to bridge academic knowledge and content standards in a secondary school setting.
