USS Detroit (AOE-4) was the fourth and last Sacramento-class fast combat support ship built for the United States Navy. She was laid down on 29 November 1966 by Puget Sound Naval Shipyard , Bremerton, Washington ; launched 21 June 1969; and commissioned on 28 March 1970.
