The Texas State University Strutters, more simply known as the Strutters, are an American collegiate dance team from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.They are the first American Precision Dance Team to be founded at a four-year university, and are currently the largest team of its kind in the United States.
It includes 19 schools with educational programs for kindergarten through adult education students. The district serves San Marcos, as well as sections of Vista, Escondido, Carlsbad, and some unincorporated areas of the county. SMUSD is the fifth largest school district in San Diego County, serving over 19,000 students. [2]
After an organization drive that began in 1905, the Southwest Texas Baptist Conference established the school in 1907 by matching $25,000 raised by citizens of San Marcos. James Milton Carroll, a leader of the founding campaign, served the academy as its first president. The school enrolled an entering class of 200 students on September 24, 1908.

Mission Hills High School is a high school located in San Marcos, California. It first opened in August 2004 on 40 acres (160,000 m 2 ) of land that was previously part of the local Hollandia dairy. It has many career-oriented programs, such as the Academies of Business, Law Enforcement, Health Essentials, Fire Technology, and Culinary Arts.
