FM 408 was designated on June 11, 1945, from SH 87 (now SH 73, SH 87, and Texas Avenue) in Bridge City, west along Roundbunch Road, and then along its current routing to Orangefield, ending just south of its current terminus. In the 1940s, the route was proposed to be signed as a state highway, but was redesignated back to an FM route.
FM 1750 was first designated on May 23, 1951; the original route was a section southward 6.1 miles (9.8 km) from SH 36 in Abilene, but it was extended through Potosi and to another connection with SH 36 on December 17, 1952, adding 6.2 miles (10.0 km). [1]
Ranch to Market Road 2475 (RM 2475) was designated on September 27, 1957, from SH 114 north of Bridgeport southwest and west 17.0 miles (27.4 km) to FM 1156 west of Wizard Wells as an extension and redesignation of FM 2475. On June 4, 1964, a 4.4-mile (7.1 km) section from FM 1156 at Vineyard to FM 1156 was transferred to SH 824.

Recreational Road 11 connects FM 1929 to a recreational area on the O.H. Ivie Reservoir. The highway begins at an intersection with FM 1929, south of the O. H. Ivie Reservoir, as a two-lane, paved road.
