My png files are just showing the default icon and I am losing it. I don't want to have to click every image to view it! Please let me know if anything worked for you or if you know what else I could try! Ever since I have upgraded to windows 11 I have been having trouble opening image files (.jpg, .jpeg, .png) using the default "Photos" application. I get the following message: "The specified procedure could not be found" Weirdly enough, if I right click on the file and use "open with" and chose the default Photos app it works.

Many times when I download a new PNG or JPG file it has a white or transparent background at first and then eventually it turns black. It's really annoying because many of the files are black, so with the black background I can't see them at all. I've performed a disk cleanup already and tried transferring the files to a new folder.
