Last week a rep from a company called Outfield Marketing indicating they represent Festiva Resorts, requested an in-home appointment to explain coming changes at Festiva. There was no prior notice or warning from Festiva. Well, we met tonight and learned that they are converting to a point system.

I too dislike Festiva. They took over one of my resorts several years ago, but I like the resort so much I kept my FIXED weeks there anyway. Before Festiva we could call the resort and swap our fixed weeks internally, buy and sell weks using a bulletin board, and get other perks that Festiva cut out. I refused to convert to Festiva points.
Dawn, I could use any Resort they said. They told us that our Maintenance Fee would be $595.00 every two years. However, I was planning on buying a Resale for $500.00 at the same Resort (Peppertree owned by Festiva) but the Current Owner's Maintenance Fee's are $1098.00 every 2 years.

It has gone through a very rough time with multiple special assessments, closure due to hurricane (ongoing) etc. I noticed some people are posting about an exit program offering. I know Latour/Festiva has other TS resorts, maybe this can be useful info for those that want out. NOTE: Many are reporting you can negotiate buy-back amount.

They state the paperwork will come in 1-4 months. They have stated to ignore all maintenance bill including late fee etc, and they will all be cleared once paperwork is complete.
