    The Browning web site states that guns made from 1958-1967 should have a number in front of the "A" for aluminum receivers and "C" for steel receivers. My family has a Double Auto that my Grandfather bought new in 1961. It has a serial # of A1XXXX. I met a nice gnetleman at the Ohio Gun Collectors Assc. meeting in May.

Its a Belgian, with the number is "0Z" on the first line, then 39XXX on the second on the underside of the receiver. While I'll never let it go, I'm also interested in the value.
