The North Yorkshire and South Durham Cricket League, commonly abbreviated to NYSD, is the top-level competition for recreational club cricket in the north of Yorkshire and south of Durham, England. The league was founded as long ago as 1892, the first competition was held in the following year.

Middlesbrough Football Club (MFC) was founded by members of the club a year after the move. [3] [4] MFC began playing at the grounds in 1880 as joint tenants. [5] It was a founding member of the North Yorkshire and South Durham Cricket League (NYSD) in 1893. The club left Linthorpe Road the same year, leaving only MFC as its tenants. [6]
