In Lightworks there's often more than one way of doing things. The V14 quick start video tutorial gives methods for shortening/trimming a segment inside the timeline. You can do this either by mark and parking the unwanted section, allowing you the option of deleting "x" or removing "z" if you want the gap.

There are multiple ways to duplicate tracks, drag and drop with Ctrl-key pressed and 'Auto track sync' disabled beforehand is one of them, but I wouldn't do it this way. I'd suggest using separate tracks for stereo and mono recordings with the appropriate pan settings. Last edited: Nov 21, 2020.

17,424. 578. Dec 30, 2023. #2. Yes it does, but under a different name. Lightworks has changed the DVE effects to Transform effects in version 2023.1 and up. The 2D DVE is now called simply Transform, and the 3D DVE is now Transform 3D. Apart from the name change they are identical in behaviour to the earlier versions. S.
With Lightworks Create, same as with Lightworks Free, it is not possible to export in 4:3. The other problem with the DVD format is that it is interlaced and needs either interlaced export (Lightworks Pro only) or de-interlacing prior to export. No version of Lightworks supports the latter.
