The Sterling Bullet is a medium-duty vocational truck that was marketed by Sterling Trucks from 2007 to 2009. [1] It is a rebadged Dodge Ram, specifically the 3500/4500/5500 Chassis Cab variant, with the most visible difference being the unique grille compared to the Ram.

Added to the lineup was a 300 hp (220 kW) 8.0L gasoline V10 designed as an alternative for those who wanted superior pulling power, but did not want a diesel (similar to GM's 7.4L V8), thus making the former the first factory V10 truck. The V10 and diesel were available in 2500/3500 models above 8,500 pounds GVWR.
It is currently the largest straight-six engine produced for a light duty truck or school bus. It produces 350 hp (261 kW; 355 PS) and 650 lb⋅ft (881 N⋅m) in the 2007.5 and newer Dodge 2500/3500 pickup trucks with the Chrysler-built six-speed 68RFE automatic transmission built at the Kokomo Transmission plant in Kokomo, Indiana.
Ram Trucks was established as a division of Chrysler in 2010, as a spin-off from Dodge, and using the name of the Dodge Ram line of pickups that is now sold under the Ram banner. [6] According to Chrysler, the Ram Trucks brand will concentrate on "real truck customers," rather than casual truck buyers who buy trucks for image or style. [7]
