Ancient architecture in Vietnam had stilt houses (Vietnamese: nhà sàn) built with materials like wood and bamboo. Depictions of these houses are seen on Đông Sơn bronze drums . There are 2 types of houses with roofs curved up like a boat and roofs curved down like turtle shells.
Đình (Chữ Hán: 亭 or 庭) or Vietnamese communal houses are typical of buildings found in Vietnam villages, dedicated to worship the village god, Thành hoàng, the village founder or a local hero. They also play the role as a meeting place of the people in the community, akin to modern civic centers.
Little progress has been made to move ahead of the 30% average of women's representation in Vietnam. Within the Vietnam Communist Party, women's membership has slowly climbed, and in 2010 was 33%. This is a significant increase from 2005 when women's membership was only 21.9%.

The 2019 Vietnamese census, officially the 2019 Viet Nam Population and Housing Census (Vietnamese: Tổng điều tra dân số và nhà ở năm 2019, lit. 'Total investigation on the population and housing of the year 2019') was the fifth national census of Vietnam since the country's reunification, [1] and the eighth census conducted by the General Statistics Office of Vietnam.
