Aerial view of the Kyōto-gyoen in 2020 with the Imperial Palace in the northern part. The Palace is situated in the Kyōto-gyoen (京都御苑), a large rectangular enclosure 1,300 metres (4,300 ft) north to south and 700 metres (2,300 ft) east to west.
The Kamo River (鴨川, Kamo-gawa, duck river – see onomastics) is located in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. The riverbanks are popular walking spots for residents and tourists. In summer, restaurants open balconies looking out to the river. There are walkways running alongside the river, and some stepping stones that cross the river.
The second of the two Kamo-jinja, the traditionally linked Kamo shrines of Kyoto, which serve the function of protecting Kyoto from malign influences. The shrine is dedicated to the veneration of Tamayori-hime (玉依姫; lit., the spirit-inviting maiden) and her father, Kamo Taketsunomi (賀茂建角身).
Kiyomizu-dera is located in the foothills of Mount Otowa, part of the Higashiyama mountain range that dominates eastern Kyoto. The main hall has a large veranda, supported by tall pillars using kakezukuri [ ja ] , that juts out over the hillside and offers views of the city.
Kyoto Photo Society （キヨウト・ホト・ソサエテ）(1925-1960s) was an amateur group of photographers active in the Kyoto area. The ARS Camera Annual states that the organization was established in the 1925 by Motohiko Goto. [ 1 ]
