Greetings! I installed Battlefield 1 through Steam (that's where I bought it from) after not playing for many years (last time was about a year ago maybe more when Origin was still used). When I hit "Play" on Steam, the EA App opens, says "preparing game", finishes loading but BF1 doesn't launch, instead it takes me back to the EA app.

Champion. @w3m6xq3n3rto the Steam purchase also added it to your EA app since you have your account there too. you shouldn't have both versions installed, just uninstall all instances of the game and only install through Steam, it should work. If you're asked to repair an existing install, choose that. Then if you get the same original error, remove the App with Revo and reinstall. Once the App is installed again, run it as an admin: right-click its desktop shortcut and select "Run as administrator." Don't try to launch Sims 4 until the App is fully loaded.
