Crocodile has Ms. All-Sunday tell the rebel army to kill everyone on sight. Meanwhile, the Straw Hats depart to Katorea, but Luffy stops. When Luffy tells Vivi of his plan to defeat Crocodile and denounces Vivi's plan to stop the rebellion as naive, the two get into a struggle. During this, Vivi reveals that she will only risk her own life.

In the anime, Kuro resumed pirate life following his defeat and saw that the bounty for Luffy has gone up following Arlong's defeat. In the Japanese anime television series, Kuro is voiced by Kōichi Hashimoto. In the 4Kids English adaptation, he is voiced by Gary Mack, while his voice actor in the Funimation English adaptation is Kent Williams.
Robin is frozen by Aokiji and Luffy tells the others to escape with her. In the Going Merry, Usopp and Chopper try to thaw her in the shower. Luffy gets defeated, but his life is spared as Aokiji believes he must repay the debt the marines incurred from Crocodile's defeat at Luffy's hands.
