"You Gotta Move" is a traditional African-American spiritual song. Since the 1940s, the song has been recorded by a variety of gospel musicians, usually as "You Got to Move" or "You've Got to Move". It was later popularized with blues and blues rock secular adaptations by Mississippi Fred McDowell and the Rolling Stones.
The album was released to commemorate the band's 50th anniversary and to promote their upcoming Big Five-0 tour, which will take place from October 2024 to January 2025. [1] It contains 25 songs across two discs, including the new song, "You've Got to Move". It debuted at number one in Australia and number 23 in New Zealand.
Marvin Earl Johnson (October 15, 1938 [1] – May 16, 1993) [2] was an American R&B singer, songwriter and pianist. He was influential in the development of the Motown style of music, primarily for the song "Come to Me," which was the first record issued by Tamla Records, the precursor to the famous label.
Its music video was directed by Craig K. McCall and filmed in New York City. The song was adapted in a Spanish version by Dominican merengue-house duo Sandy & Papo, as "Mueve, mueve", in 1995. In 2021, it was reworked in a remix version by Tunisian DJ-producer duo, Outrage and Spanish DJ and vocalist Alejandro under the title, "Move It".

It was released in October 1990 as his debut single and the title track to his album You've Got to Stand for Something. It reached the top ten on the country singles chart in early 1991. Tippin wrote the song with Buddy Brock.
