The second-generation 2002 FX45 Concept was introduced in January 2002 at the NAIAS '02 as a thinly-veiled production FX (S50) and planned production was announced for early 2003. In January 2003, the 2003 FX45 made its debut at the 2003 NAIAS and went on sale January 24, 2003.

Toyota Motor Corporation's S family is a family of cable operated manual transmissions built for small to mid sized front wheel drive vehicles, but also used in mid-engine applications.
The first Nissan/Jatco transmission, the Jatco 3N71 transmission, used a simple naming scheme: the "3" meant "3-speed", and the remainder was the series number. Beginning in 1982, it gained a locking torque converter (L3N71b) for greater efficiency. (See L3N71 link below).
The Infiniti QX50, marketed also until 2013 as the Infiniti EX (North America) and Nissan Skyline Crossover (Japanese Domestic Market|JDM), is a front- or all-wheel drive, five passenger, five-door compact luxury crossover SUV, manufactured and marketed by Infiniti, Nissan's luxury division over three generations: one generation as the EX followed by two QX50 generations.
