The airline division, Evergreen International Airlines, operated worldwide, in 168 countries, and by the end had been reduced to a fleet of all-cargo Boeing 747 freighters. The company also operated a helicopter division, Evergreen Helicopters which was sold to Erickson Air-Crane , an Oregon-based helicopter operator, for $250 million in 2013.
Other CIA "proprietary" airlines such as Air America and Air Asia also operated out of Marana during the Vietnam War years. During its years in operation, Intermountain used several types of aircraft including the Curtiss C-46 Commando , the Lockheed L-188 Electra , the de Havilland Canada DHC-4 Caribou and DHC-6 Twin Otter .
