The 2025 Delhi Legislative Assembly elections were held in Delhi on 5 February 2025 to elect all 70 members of the Delhi Legislative Assembly. The counting of votes and declaration of result will take place on 8 February 2025. [1] [2] The election resulted in a Bharatiya Janata Party government, their first victory in Delhi since 1993.

In March 2022, the Delhi State Election Commission indefinitely deferred the municipal elections that were scheduled to be held in April 2022. [4] On 22 March, the Union Government approved the Delhi Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Bill to re-merge the three municipal corporations into to a unified body. [5]
