Math Blaster Jr. is a 1996 educational video game in the Blaster Learning System series aimed at teaching mathematics to children aged 4–8. The game was rebranded as Math Blaster: Ages 4-6 in 1997. [1] Math Blaster Jr. was followed by Reading Blaster Jr. and Science Blaster Jr., which shared characters, artwork, and music.
The game takes place in a circus and teaches addition, subtraction, and counting in four different games, each of which with multiple difficulty settings. [1] [2] The game is for ages 4–8. [3] The four games are: Clown's Counting Games - the player is required to count with a number as a guide to pitch the tone of the musical instrument.
The game features eight different subjects, which are chosen at the start the game. All the problems encountered in the game, except in the "Cave Runner" exercise, will fall into the chosen subject. The subjects are as follows: Addition; Subtraction; Multiplication; Division
