A Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of cricket, played between two of the international members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), in which each team faces a maximum of twenty overs. The matches have top-class status and are the highest T20 standard. The game is played under the rules of Twenty20 cricket.
The ICC Men's T20 World Cup (formerly the ICC World Twenty20) is a biennial T20I cricket tournament, organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was held in every odd year from 2007 to 2009, and since 2010 it has been held in every even year with the exception of 2018 and 2020.

In 2014, New Zealand batsman Brendon McCullum became the first batsman to score 2,000 runs in T20I. He retired as the most prolific run scorer in T20Is with a total of 2140 runs in June 2015.
