A uniform color space (UCS) is a color model that seeks to make the color-making attributes perceptually uniform, i.e. identical spatial distance between two colors equals identical amount of perceived color difference. A CAM under a fixed viewing condition results in a UCS; a UCS with a modeling of variable viewing conditions results in a CAM.
RGB (red, green, blue) describes the chromaticity component of a given color, when excluding luminance. RGB itself is not a color space, it is a color model. There are many different color spaces that employ this color model to describe their chromaticities because the R/G/B chromaticities are one facet for reproducing color in CRT & LED displays.
The familiar CIE (x, y) chromaticity diagram is very perceptually non-uniform: small perceptual changes in chromaticity in greens, for example, translate into large distances, while larger perceptual differences in chromaticity in other colors are usually much smaller.
The Felder Silverman Learning Style Model (FSLSM) is a type of learning styles based on a two-step process, where the individual first receives the information through an internal or external mean and then processes it. [32] Felder and Silverman discovered five areas that affected learning: [33] Active/Reflective; Visual/Verbal; Sensing/Intuition
In color science, a color model is an abstract mathematical model describing the way colors can be represented as tuples of numbers, typically as three or four values or color components. When this model is associated with a precise description of how the components are to be interpreted (viewing conditions, etc.), taking account of visual ...
The appearance correlates of CIECAM02, J, a, and b, form a uniform color space that can be used to calculate color differences, as long as a viewing condition is fixed. A more commonly-used derivative is the CAM02 Uniform Color Space (CAM02-UCS), an extension with tweaks to better match experimental data.
Purity is roughly equivalent to the term saturation in the HSV color model. The property hue is as used in general color theory and in specific color models such as HSL and HSV color spaces, though it is more perceptually uniform in color models such as Munsell , CIELAB or CIECAM02 .
It was designed to be computed via simple formulas from the CIEXYZ space, but to be more perceptually uniform. Hunter named his coordinates L , a and b . Hunter Lab was a precursor to CIELAB , created in 1976 by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE), which named the coordinates for CIELAB as L* , a* , b* to distinguish them from ...
