Chumash (also Ḥumash; Hebrew: חומש, pronounced or pronounced or Yiddish: pronounced [ˈχʊməʃ]; plural Ḥumashim) is a Torah in printed in book bound form (i.e. codex) as opposed to a Torah scroll. The word comes from the Hebrew word for five, ḥamesh (חמש).
