A Philly Special Christmas is the debut studio album by The Philly Specials – a vocal trio composed of Philadelphia Eagles offensive linemen Lane Johnson, Jason Kelce, and Jordan Mailata. It was released on December 23, 2022, by Vera Y Records. The Christmas album is produced by Charlie Hall, drummer for the band The War on Drugs. [1]
The group was named for the Philly Special trick play used by the Eagles to score a touchdown in Super Bowl LII in 2018. [1] The Philly Specials' albums have been produced by Charlie Hall, drummer for the War on Drugs, with Philadelphia Eagles executive Connor Barwin as executive producer. [3] Their albums have featured numerous guest performers.
The album was released on December 1, 2023, and was available through digital download and vinyl.A double album named A Philly Special Christmas Special (The Deluxe Album 2022 & 2023), which combined A Philly Special Christmas Special with its prequel A Philly Special Christmas, was also made available on vinyl only.

Settling in Philadelphia, Greenfield ran a music studio and promoted Black singers. Among her voice pupils was Thomas Bowers. [19] [20] She was a member of the Philadelphia Shiloh Baptist Church, and directed its choir. [11] [2] In the 1860s she created an opera troupe, the Black Swan Opera Troupe, with Bowers, which she directed.
