The Belgrade–Bar railway (Serbian: Пруга Београд–Бар, romanized: Pruga Beograd–Bar) is a 476.59 km (296.14 mi) long electrified main line connecting the Serbian capital of Belgrade with the town of Bar, a major seaport in Montenegro. Completed in 1976, which connects Belgrade with the Mediterranean port of Bar.
For a long time Beovoz intervals were significant, from half an hour on the main line Pančevo bridge - Batajnica, to just a few trains per day on peripheral sections. The system was not popular with residents of the city, but was in demand by residents of the suburbs for trips to Belgrade. In 2007, Beovoz carried about 4.5 million passengers.
By mid-1930s Aeroput inaugurated two routes linking Belgrade and Zagreb with Dubrovnik through Sarajevo, and, in 1938, it inaugurated an international route linking Dubrovnik, which was becoming a major holiday destination, through Sarajevo, to Zagreb, Vienna, Brno and Prague. [4

The line had just 5 stations (Pančevački most, Vukov spomenik, Karađorđev park, Beograd Centar and Novi Beograd, which it shared with Beovoz), was 8 kilometer long and the commute took about 16 minutes. Train frequency was from 30 minutes with 15 minutes frequency during rush hour.
