The Rotinoff Super Atlantic is a 6×4 ballast tractor made by the British company Rotinoff Motors Ltd. The tractor was designed for GCW of 200 tons with the help of a Rolls-Royce six cylinder supercharged engine producing almost 335 bhp with support of six speed main gearbox and a three speed auxiliary box for critical conditions.
The Rotinoff company specialized in the production of ballast tractors and heavy transport vehicles. The vehicles of Rotinoff were widely used in Europe as tractors for tank transporters . In the Swiss army , the Rotinoff Atlantic GR 7 was used from 1958 - 1991 by the tank troops to haul Centurion tanks .
The carriage works in conjunction with Talus tractors which are used to deploy the Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboats. There are three versions of the carriage which includes a standard carriage and the option of a hydraulic power pack so that the angle of the launch can be changed to suit the conditions.
