Jozef G. Bakos (1891–1977), known as Joseph Bakos, was an American painter best known for his Western landscapes. Bakos was one of Los Cinco Pintores, who worked in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Bakos studied art with John E. Thompson at the Albright Art Institute in Buffalo, New York.
Abeyta was born in Gallup, New Mexico to Navajo painter Narciso "Ciso" Platero Abeyta and Sylvia Ann, a Quaker ceramics artist. [2] He was the youngest of seven children. [3]He received an Associate of Fine Arts degree from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe in 1986, where he received the T.C.
