Betty Sabo (Betty Jean Beals; née Angelos Sabo; September 15, 1928 – May 10, 2016) was an American landscape painter and sculptor. She is best known for her realistic oils of New Mexico landscapes.
Abeyta was born in Gallup, New Mexico to Navajo painter Narciso "Ciso" Platero Abeyta and Sylvia Ann, a Quaker ceramics artist. [2] He was the youngest of seven children. [3]He received an Associate of Fine Arts degree from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe in 1986, where he received the T.C. Cannon memorial scholarship and later, an honorary doctorate of humanities. [4]
