Savusavu is located on Fiji's northern island of Vanua Levu. It can be reached by plane from Nadi (one hour) or by ferry from Suva or Lautoka (approx 12-hour trip). It is famous for its hot springs, located mostly opposite the Hot Springs Hotel – although at low tide the steam from numerous smaller outlets all along the foreshore can be seen.

Rabi (pronounced ) is a volcanic island in northern Fiji.It is an outlier to Taveuni (5 kilometers west), in the Vanua Levu Group. It covers an area of 66.3 square kilometers, reaching a maximum elevation of 463 meters and has a shoreline of 46.2 kilometers.
The island's people support themselves mainly by tourism. In addition to Tavewa residents, the population includes many resort staff who commute from nearby islands in the Yasawa group or from Nadi. The locals live in bures like those at the resorts. Cooking is usually communal, on fireplaces dotted around the bures.
Nausori International Airport (IATA: SUV, ICAO: NFNA), also known as Luvuluvu, is the secondary international airport in Fiji, behind Nadi International Airport. It is situated in Nausori on the southeastern side of Viti Levu (Fiji's main island). Nausori Airport is roughly 23 km (14 mi) (45 minute drive) from Fiji's capital city, Suva.
Buca Bay is an isolated area on the Fijian island of Vanua Levu.The four villages within this bay are Vunikura, Loa, Buca and Tukavesi. It serves as a terminus for ferries that cross between Vanua Levu and Taveuni.
