Malaysia Rugby, formerly known as Malaysia Rugby Union (Malay: Kesatuan Ragbi Malaysia) is the governing body for rugby union in Malaysia. It was founded in 1921 and joined the International Rugby Football Board, later known as the International Rugby Board and now as World Rugby , in 1988.
Rugby union in Malaysia is a sport with a long history, and a significant participation. There are 41,050 registered players, and the country is currently ranked 47th. Malaysia Rugby League Premier is the top flight of rugby union league in Malaysia. In 2023 the league went entirely professional which attracted many overseas players. Introduced in 2004, it was formerly known as MRU Super League, catered only to the top eight rugby union clubs in the country.

Malaysian Super Schools Rugby (SSR) is the premier youth rugby tournament featuring some of the best schools from all over the country. First launched in 2013, the tournament has become host to the finest U17 rugby action in the country, with former participants has went on to represent the national team in age-level competition and also the senior squad.
In 2010, Malaysia were beaten by Hong Kong in their largest defeat, the score was 81–0. Malaysia is expected to make their international debut in December 2024 at the Asia Rugby Women's Championship Division 1 competition which is to be held in India .
During a meeting of Sukma's highest committee, which was chaired by then-Ministry of Youth and Sports, Khairy Jamaluddin on 15 May 2015, the committee awarded Perak and Johor the right to host 2018 Sukma Games and 2020 Sukma Games respectively, but the latter was postponed to 2022 and held in Kuala Lumpur instead by the National Sports Council due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
