Faithful Steward was an 18th-century merchant ship. In 1785 the ship departed Derry for Philadelphia carrying 270 passengers and crew, along with 400 barrels filled with copper coins. After 53 days at sea, the ship arrived at off the Delaware Seashore .
He evaluates them according to how faithful each was in making wise investments of his goods to obtain a profit. It is clear that the master sought some profit from the servants' oversight. A gain indicated faithfulness on the part of the servants. The master rewards his servants according to how each has handled his stewardship.

The Parable of the Unjust Steward or Parable of the Penitent Steward is a parable of Jesus which appears in Luke 16:1–13. In it, a steward who is about to be fired tries to "curry favor" with his master's debtors by remitting some of their debts. [ 1 ]
There is no precedent in the scriptures of the Bible for a debtor paying debts from prison. However, there is a very relevant aspect of Roman law that may have been the cultural reference this parable is built around considering the Judeans of Jesus day were ruled by Rome.
This famous saying also appears at Luke 16:13, but there it comes at the end of the Parable of the Unjust Steward. In Luke's Gospel, the saying is thus clearly one about God and money. In Matthew, the previous verses imply it can mean placing anything above God.
