Homan was a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's Green Line. The station was located at Homan Avenue and Lake Street in the East Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago. Homan was situated east of Pulaski and west of Kedzie. Homan opened in March 1894 and closed on January 9, 1994, when the entire Green Line closed for a renovation project.
On June 29, 1952, weekend service was discontinued as Route 38, a bus route, was created to replace streetcar service on weekends. Kedzie–Homan was named Kedzie until the early 1990s, when the name was changed to Kedzie–Homan. However, signs on the platform still referred to the station as Kedzie until 2013, when signs with Kedzie-Homan were installed. [citation needed] In 2000–2001, Kedzie–Homan was renovated with a number of improvements for $2.6 million.
