Gilda Dent (née Gold), occasionally referred to as Grace, is a fictional character who has appeared in Batman comic books since Detective Comics #66 (August 1942). Associated with her fiancé (later husband) Harvey Dent, who becomes the criminal mastermind Two-Face, she has since been a recurring character throughout various Batman stories involving him. [1]
It was released in July 2008 to coincide with The Dark Knight, although it is set in the comics' continuity and not the film's. It chronicles the origin of Two-Face also known as Harvey Dent D.A., one of Batman 's archfoes; the first issue details the downfall of Harvey Dent, and the second issue focuses on Two-Face as he runs for re-election.

Two-Face was created by Batman co-creator Bob Kane, [1] and debuted in Detective Comics #66 ("The Crimes of Two-Face"), written by Batman's other co-creator Bill Finger, in August 1942 as a new Batman villain originally named Harvey "Apollo" Kent, a handsome, law-abiding former Gotham City district attorney close to the Batman.
As Dent is about to kill Gordon's son, Batman, who is wearing body armor, tackles him off a ledge to his death, saving the boy before falling and injuring his leg. Determined to preserve Dent's heroic image, Batman convinces Gordon to let him take the blame for Dent's crimes, and disappears into the night, now branded a murderer.
This version is an Al Capone-esque crime lord from the 1930s who is involved in bootlegging, was accused of tax evasion, and scarred all of Harvey Dent's face in an attempt to kill him. Maroni is later killed by Dent, who became Batman to seek revenge on him. [7] Sal Maroni appears in Batman: Earth One (vol. 2).
