Crazy Taxi is a series of racing games developed by Hitmaker and published by Sega. It was first available as an arcade video game in 1999, then released for the Dreamcast console in 2000. It is the third best-selling Dreamcast game in the United States, selling over a million copies. [1]
Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars, a compilation of Crazy Taxi and Crazy Taxi 2, was released in 2007 for the PlayStation Portable. A mobile-exclusive entry to the series, titled Crazy Taxi: City Rush, was released on the iOS and Google Play app stores in 2014. Crazy Taxi and its sequels have also prompted several games which clone its core gameplay.
Crazy Taxi 2 contains two cities, "Around Apple" and "Small Apple", which are both somewhat based on New York City. The latter is also included in Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller. EarthBound has a city called Fourside, which is also referred as the Big Banana; a parody of New York's nickname, the Big Apple.

In Crazy Taxi: City Rush, the players do not have a direct control of the vehicle's speed. The road is split into multiple lanes, with swipe controls being used to trigger a lane switch. By touching the left or right side of the screen, the taxi will take a turn if it appears on a crossroad. [1]

Crazy Taxi 2 (クレイジータクシー2, Kureijī Takushī 2) is a 2001 racing video game and the second installment of the Crazy Taxi series. It was originally released for the Dreamcast , and was later ported to the PSP as part of Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars in 2007.
